How we are paid: the quotes are free to you. Installers pay us a fixed fee for a qualified enquiry. We are never paid more for recommending a particular kit, and the ledger's certified list is not for sale.

Do you even need an installer?

A kit on the ENA G98 type-test register is designed to be fitted without an electrician — that is the point of the 27 August 2026 change. You still have to notify your DNO within 28 days. Many people are happy doing both themselves.

Get an installer if you are drilling into a facade, working above ground level, dealing with a freeholder who wants a certificate, or simply want the job signed off by someone else.
