800wsolar is reader-supported. We are a member of the Amazon Associates Programme and the eBay Partner Network. If you click a product link on this site and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes which kit we list as ENA G98 certified or legal today — compliance status is drawn from the public register, not from commission rates.

How we earn money
Three ways, and this is all of them:
Affiliate commission. When you click a link to a retailer and make a purchase, we may receive a commission. This comes at no additional cost to you.
Installer quote fees. The quotes service is free to you. Installers pay us a fixed fee for a qualified enquiry we pass on — the same fee regardless of which kit you buy, how large the job is, or whether you go ahead at all.
Our own digital products. We sell the Solar Savings Ledger, a £4.99 spreadsheet and printable logbook we made ourselves. It is our own product, not anybody else's, so no third party pays us to promote it and nobody pays us more for a particular outcome.
The payback calculator is free, carries no advertising and asks nothing of you. It stays that way.
Programmes we participate in
Amazon Associates — as an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.
eBay Partner Network (EPN) — we are a member of the eBay Partner Network. eBay links on this site direct you to eBay.co.uk.
Does this affect our recommendations?
No. What we list as "ENA G98 certified" is drawn directly from the public ENA type-test register, checked manually. A kit's certification status, price and specs never change based on whether it earns us a commission. Non-certified kit is always filed separately and never presented as legal to plug in.
How to identify affiliate links
Outbound product links on 800wsolar that lead to Amazon or eBay are affiliate links unless otherwise stated. Retailer "check price" links that are not affiliate links (for example direct UKSOL or Argos pages where no affiliate relationship exists yet) are marked as plain, non-commission links.
Price information
